There are days when I’m amazed at how quickly the years pass. Someone will mention the early 90’s and I’m shocked to realize they were two decades ago. I balk at that.
And then I come across a picture in a photo album. This was taken in 2009, just after Judah’s 1st birthday.
Seeing it compelled me to bring my grandson back to the same bridge a few weeks ago for this shot. Judah is now 4!
If three years goes by in the blink of an eye why am I not surprised that twenty years can also do the same?
I used to hate it when “older people” told me about this phenomenon. I was young. Time was all I had and I wanted it to fast forward to my future so I could get on with the business of being an adult. I wanted to know where I was headed.
Now all I want it to do is slow down.
All of life is a matter of perspective.
