My pet peeve when I was young was “old” people telling me to appreciate my youth, that life would go by quickly. At that point in time I was a teenager and anxious to get on with my adult life. It all seemed to be taking pretty darn long to happen.
I’ve become that “old” person.
I got nostalgic on my last wedding anniversary and made this slideshow as I was reflecting back on all those years that flew by.
One day you’re in the middle of diapers, mounds of smelly little boy laundry and a van full of baseball or hockey equipment and the next you’re attending college graduations, planning weddings and holding your grandchildren.
I hope I’ve taken the time to appreciate all this life has embraced.
