masterpiece |ˈmastərˌpēs|noun, work of outstanding artistry, skill, or workmanship
Every human is a masterpiece. A coming together of DNA and cells and a million synapses that make us a product of the mystery that is life.
Each of my children was a masterpiece but none so much as a grandchild. And the newest grandchild is always the most amazing masterpiece of artistry, skill and workmanship. They are a work of art in progress, a canvas yet to be painted, the gesso on the canvas still wet and waiting.
I suspect they are more amazing masterpieces than my own children were because this time I’m not responsible for the care and keeping, the raising and educating, the day in, day out worry.
This time all I have to do is love, spoil and enjoy.
This one needs to enjoy his status while he has it. The newest masterpiece is in the works and he’s soon to be upstaged!
