The lycoris radiata, also known as the spider lily,
appears as if by magic after a September rain.
As the autumn leaves begin to fall and the climate shows signs of decay
these gorgeous flowers on lofty, slender stalks
rise toward the sky and saturate our senses with bursts of color.
