The majority of our life is lived between.
Between birth and death is obvious;
that famous -dash- between the dates that represents an individual’s life.
It’s all the other betweens I’m thinking about.
Between waking and sleeping.
Between the first day of school and the last.
Between saying hello and saying goodbye.
Between setting the date and saying the vows.
Between deciding on a vacation spot and putting the suitcases in the car.
Between decorating the house and opening the presents.
Between the positive result of a pregnancy test and bringing the baby home.
Between starting the car and arriving at our destination.
Between earning a degree and getting a job.
Between one paycheck and the next.
Between breakfast and lunch.
Between lunch and dinner.
Between.
In today’s social media world life is often all about the highlights, the major events, the news worthy moments that we feel deserve a post.
Yet really, we live most of our moments between those events and what defines us is how we are and what we do and think when we are
…….in-between……
The Eiffel Tower as seen between the panes of glass of the Holocaust Memorial in Paris.
Make your betweens count.
