And now in the serenity and quiet of this lovely place,
touch the depths of truth,
feel the hem of Heaven.
Adlai E. Stevenson
I’ve lived in Nebraska for a little over a year now and this holy ground draws me back again and again. The Holy Family Shrine in Gretna is where I go to find my serenity.
That is a uniquely beautiful place. Thank you for sharing the photos.

Thanks Anne! I’m still waiting for a good snowfall so I can visit it surrounded by snow. Each season seems to change it.

I drove by this church many times on the highway, but is never got to visit it. Your pictures are so beautiful, they make me want to be there.

Sounds like you need a trip back to Nebraska Lucy. I was fortunate to have one of Jim’s former Command Chiefs who retired in Nebraska, take me on a tour of the area after we got here and this was one of the places he took me. Otherwise, I may have never taken the time to stop either. Sometimes God has to literally take us by the hand, right?
