I’ve never been much of a landscape photographer.
My feeble attempts just never seem to match the intent of the maker of those scenes.
That said, I’ve pulled a few favorites that exist on my computer at this point in time.
This view of the countryside in Switzerland:
This landscape outside my front door at our last military assignment:
This one in which the clouds become the landscape, causing the viewer a bit of imbalance:
The landscape in the woods near my home in Virginia, as spring awakens:
This, from a walk this past week in Kansas:
From a few days ago in Ohio:
And finally, one of my favorite landscape combinations…farmland in Iowa, dominated by windmills:
“The scariest dragons and the fiercest giants
usually turn out to be no more than windmills.”
Because who doesn’t love a Don Quixote quote?
Pretty good job for “not much of a landscape photographer”. My three favourites are (I couldn’t choose) the picture taken in Switzerland, the beautiful tree with clouds and the picture from Ohio best.

Thanks for visiting and for your kind comments! I celebrated my 50th birthday with my siblings in Switzerland and when I took that picture I was pretty much lost on that mountain, out hiking with my brother. Great memories and when the scenery is that gorgeous being lost isn’t bad at all!

Oh my gosh, I am calling you Ansel from now on!!! These are completely beautiful photos of amazing places. The original “artist” must be proud!

I tend to narrow in on things, not step back and record the bigger view. Thank you for your comments Kathie!

These are wonderful photos, regardless. I particularly like the tree in Virginia photo.

My husband recently retired and although he plans on working again we’ve been spending lots of time traveling and visiting before the next job presents itself….great fun and I’m loving the photo opportunities. Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for stopping by! My brother and I were hiking up in the Swiss Alps so although the clouds look low, we were pretty high up to begin with!
