Yikes!  It’s the eleventh hour of my self-imposed Friday noon deadline for posting and my photo challenge/blogging muse has been conspicuously absent this week.

Simply put, I’ve got next to nothin’ this week.  My mind has been a jumble of too much going on and not enough, all at the same time….decisions and details and what if’s….all creating a cacophony of sounds in my head that is quite the opposite of the pure, calm state of mind that I’d prefer.

So I’ve been trying to concentrate on white, peaceful images.

It isn’t working.  I’m still lying awake at night.  Sigh.

I did run across this scene at a local splash pad the other night.  There’s nothing like the combination of a hot summer night and water to elicit pure joy.

And lastly, I had lunch with a friend yesterday.  One topic of discussion was the upcoming Presidential election here in the USA.  Her fourth-grade daughter, who has been studying the process at school, has this advice.

“I don’t think either one of our leading candidates is going to make it through the first year without getting impeached so if I were you I’d vote for whichever Vice President running mate you like the most.”

That might just be pure genius, out of the mind of a ten-year-old!

So there you have it for “pure” this week.  I’m all over the map with it, pretty much a really accurate reflection of my state of mind lately.
