I’ve always believed that anticipating an event or trip is often the best part of the experience.
Once the day or week arrives it goes by way too quickly but the waiting and the planning and the looking forward to….THAT is the sweet spot for me….the possibility, the promise, the anticipation.
Advent is all of that and more and Christmas Eve is the best anticipation of all. Three little ones, attending church services to listen to the story of Jesus’ birth and then listening to their dad read “The Night Before Christmas” to them just prior to going to bed. It’s a big mixture of religious and secular but to them it’s all about hearts filled with joy and the promise of good things to come.
My grandchildren and my son.
I never could have come close to predicting what this moment would be like twenty years ago. That kind of anticipation was just too much to even fathom.
Not sure my last comment took but I’ll say again, that I hope your holidays were restful and that you are surrounded by love (which I can now see you were!)

Not yet Kathie, this will be our second day of looking for a new home. Hoping your holidays were everything you needed them to be! Ours were definitely filled with love, not so sure about that restful part! Rest can come later! 🙂
