This is part three of a three part series featuring a tour of the valentines I’ve made in the years since I graduated from college. This links you to the first post. This links you to the second post.
Which brings us to 2010 and a move back to Louisiana, which inspired that year’s valentine. Let the good times roll!
2010
We moved down the street the next February and no valentines were sent so this was included in the next year’s mailing. I suppose it’s 2011, after the fact.
2011
2012
2013
This year a move took us to Omaha, NE and this time I did employ the moving theme.
2014
For years we’ve been saving our wine corks, adding the date we enjoyed the bottle of wine and the people we drank it with so if I had a cork with the name of the valentine recipient on it, that was the cork I used. This particular valentine went to my husband so the cork is from a bottle we drank in Paris.
2015
By now we’re back in Virginia and I’m continuing my love of winter after having lived so many years in Louisiana where winter is but a few chilly, rainy weeks in January and February.
2016
And wouldn’t you know it, after professing my love of winter and snow last year, we move back to Louisiana!
2017
This brings us to the valentine I just mailed and this tour is finished! I have a few people searching for and sending me photographs of the missing years in Part One so it’s possible there will be a concluding post.
2018
For now, please do take care of the hearts entrusted to your care. They can be fragile and easily hurt yet they have an amazing capacity if you give them room and fill them with your love.
Now I recognize these treasured Valentines. 🙂

Once again, I find in you a kindred spirit. So many of the things you do and have done for those in your life that you love…I have made similar (but seriously less talented) attempts to express myself to those in mine. I have been accused of hoarding memorabilia but when I am able to put together a large, packed-full mailing envelope of treasures (photos, letters, concert tickets, matchbooks, trinkets) from years and years of being connected, I am so happy to be able to show someone their importance to me.
I’m about finished with downsizing for a while so I just completed another mass mailing, this time mostly to clients from 40, 30, 20 years ago….
I am so glad to know you Jules.
