Sacrifice….this week’s P52 Photo Challenge
This man defined the word sacrifice.
Every year for the Lenten season, I try to give something up to better focus my attention on the word and what this man did for us on the cross but really….my “sacrifice” is nothing in comparison to His.
2012 was the first year in a long time that I deliberately focused on sacrificing instead of just going through the motions. I didn’t just give something up, I also focused on praying in a different way and genuinely feeling a direct communication with God. I think it made a difference in my life; for the first time I feel as if Lent had a lasting impact on me beyond the 40 days.
His sacrifice is still having an impact over 2000 years after the fact.
Not only did Jesus define the word sacrifice.
He also defined the word legacy.

I don’t know what was different about this year, but I did the same thing Julie. For the first time ever, I feel like I really needed to focus and not as you say “go through the motions”. It has brought a wonderful peace and clarity of focus to my life!
